Frank & Lenka – who are we anyway?

Hi! We are Franka & Lenka – two globetrotters with a weakness for good food, old cars, wine with a view and campfire evenings with new friends. What began as a journey became a life project. And today we are here: with Frankas Place, in the heart of Cape Town, surrounded by vineyards, beach vibes and lots of retro charm.

How it all began

Honestly? We just wanted to get away for a bit. Soak up some sun. Relax. Then came Cape Town. Then came a sunset in Blouberg. Then came the idea: ‘Why not show others exactly THAT?’ That's how Frankas Place came about. Not as an agency. Not as a tourist programme. But as an invitation to experience the western Cape region in the most beautiful way possible: slow, enjoyable and with a wink.

What we do (and why we love it)

• We'll drive you through the Winelands – in a vintage car or a Cobra

• We'll barbecue under the stars and call it Braai Night

• We'll show you our favourite wines and the people behind them

• We'll cook for you. Or with you. Or with 10 friends over an open fire

  
  

And another thing: we bring a lot with us. Franka is a passionate sushi chef with a knack for flavour, texture and detail on the plate. Lenka is a creative graphic designer with a love of design – our aesthetic is no accident. We also know our way around the world of real estate and hospitality – we have planned, built and brokered many projects. And when it comes to food, we are foodies through and through. Always on the lookout for the next wow moment for the palate and our guests.

We are not perfect. But we are personal. We join in for a drink. We tell stories. We sometimes have to laugh because this still feels like a holiday to us.

Why should you travel with us?

Because you don't want to settle for the ordinary. Because you love to eat, laugh and discover new things. Because you want to know what Cape Town tastes, smells and sounds like. Because you'd rather sit in an old car than a coach. And because you like people who don't take life too seriously – but enjoy it all the more for it.
