Hermanus means sea breeze, crashing waves and pure indulgence. This charming town on South Africa's southern coast is famous for its whale sightings – but it also shines with food and coastal flair. Here are our tips for a perfect day!
1. Walk Along the Cliff Path
The Cliff Path is one of the most scenic walks in the Cape. Take in the fresh air, spot seals and whales – no boat needed. The view? Stunning!

2. Whale Watching (June–November)
Hermanus is the best land-based whale watching spot in the world. From June to November, Southern Right Whales come incredibly close. Boat tours offer even more thrills!
